Doctors & Staff

Meet the experienced and friendly doctors and staff who make InFocus Vision Optometric Center a proud provider of vision care products and services in Arcadia.


Dr. Emily Wang

Dr. Emily Wang attended the University of California at Berkeley and graduated with a B.A. degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology. She received her Doctorate in Optometry from the Illinois College of Optometry. Dr. Wang received clinical training in ocular disease at the Illinois Eye Institute, Illinois Masonic Center, and the Missouri Eye Institute.

Dr. Wang practices full scope Optometry and is very experienced in specialty contact lens designs and dry eye treatment. She is a member of the American Optometric Association, the California Optometric Association, the San Gabriel Valley Optometric Society, and the Asian American Optometric Society. Dr. Wang speaks English, Mandarin, and conversational Spanish.

In her free time, Dr. Wang enjoys listening to classical music and spending time with her friends and family.


Dr. Vivian Shih

Dr. Vivian Shih attended the University of California at Los Angeles, and graduated with a B.S. degree in Biology. She received her Doctorate in Optometry from the Southern California College of Optometry, which has since been renamed the Marshall B. Ketchum University of the Health Sciences. Dr. Shih received clinical training in ocular disease at the Veteran’s Administration Hospital in West Los Angeles and Tucson, Arizona, as well as at a busy ophthalmology practice specializing in cataract surgery, called New Eyes. She is experienced in the medical management of ocular disease, contact lenses, pediatric eye care and geriatric eye care. She is also certified to diagnose and treat glaucoma.

She is a member of the American Optometric Association, the California Optometric Association and has served on the board of the San Gabriel Valley Optometric Society for many years. Dr. Shih speaks English, Mandarin, and optometric exam Spanish.

In her spare time, Dr. Shih loves to read, hike, explore the food and culture of Southern California, and travel around the world with her friends and family.


Rosie Covarrubias – Managing Optician

After graduating from the American College of Optechs, Rosie has been working as a Certified Optician for the past 24 years. With an eye for fashion, she will not only help you see better but also look better by selecting that perfect frame to suit your face shape and lifestyle. Rosie is a people person and truly enjoys helping patients of all ages. During the past 10 years at InFocus Vision Optometric Center, she has enjoyed building life-long relationships and sharing life lessons with our patients. She also speaks Spanish fluently.

In her spare time, she loves to hike, play tennis, watch movies, and spend as much quality time with her two wonderful kids and three fur babies as possible.


Katie Pelto – Optometric Assistant

We first got to know Katie when she became a patient of Dr. Wang’s. Her wonderful personality was so contagious, we knew she’d be a great fit and offered her a position as soon as one opened. It has now been three years and she is a vital part of our InFocus family. Katie has a background in medical assisting which has made the transition into the optical field much easier. She enjoys coordinating appointments and answering all of your questions. Katie’s sweet and polite demeanor makes working with her an enjoyable experience.

She has four beautiful children and an adoring husband. In her spare time, she enjoys outreaching for her church, spending time with her family, and shopping.


Dorothy Do – Optical Technician

Dorothy has been with us for two years and has grown to become very knowledgeable in the optical field. She has learned very quickly which has made her an important asset to our company. Patients enjoy working with her and she truly enjoys getting to know all of our patients. Aside from helping patients with their optical needs, Dorothy can also take care of all our in-house edging. She is also fluent in Vietnamese.

In her spare time, she enjoys hanging out with her family, boyfriend, friends, and loves to go on fun food adventures.
